What is Feng Shui?

Feng Shui, translates as 'wind and water', and is an ancient science originating in China over 5000 years ago.

The Chinese recognised that landforms and dwellings contain specific energies subject to various influences. They discovered when aligning themselves with positive earth qi, they experienced 'good fortune'. And in turn were aware that negative/stagnant energies caused difficulty and obstacles.

Over the course of many dynasties, various feng shui schools have developed, the oldest of all, being 'Form School'.

Traditional feng shui schools are based upon the understanding of qi - vital life force - yin and yang and the five elements, wood, fire, earth, metal and water, not unlike Chinese acupuncture designations.

Auspicious feng shui improves health, wellbeing and environmental status, therefore facilitating happiness, prosperity and the optimum scenario for personal enlightenment.
